Intro I think it's pretty awesome and worth the price. In short: It can be fun but isn't worth the price at the present time. Rain is absent (?), likely to be offered as DLC. Kintaro is in the game as a fully functional opponent but players will have to purchase DLC to play as the character. There are only two costumes per fighter (one of which must be unlocked) despite a host of previous costumes to draw upon.

The "Krypt" is annoying to navigate and full of conceptual art and other content that is nice to browse but irritating to have to unlock. The story is awful imo (and essentially just resets the MK universe to the beginning of MK4 minus many classic characters). Different preorder bonuses at different retailers/distributors is always a turn-off.

Not interested in a PS3 at present (not keen on renting a console from Sony), but I did play the new MK at a friend's house (omg, am I pirate?). MK Deadly Alliance, Deception, Armageddon (PS2): decent but kind of meh
